RacerSetup Help
About sessions
I originally built RacerSetup to keep track of my own tyre pressures and temperatures but then thought why stop there. The app is designed to be simple and fast to use on your phone, tablet or computer so you can focus on racing rather than data entry. You can record as little or as much information as you like.
Each session can record the track and conditions, your best time, and full setup detail across five sections: tyre pressures & temperatures, wheel alignment, suspension, sway bars, and ride height & corner weights. There's also a notes section to record any additional information.
Accessing sessions
On the home page, enter your mobile number (10 digits and no country code) and Personal ID (something you'll remember). If you've logged sessions before, you'll see them; if not, you'll go straight into creating your first session.
For a secure Personal ID, use a combination of characters that only you will know. If you see a New Session and you were expecting a list of sessions, check that you've entered your correct mobile number and personal ID.
Duplicating a session
Most sessions only change slightly from the last one. Hit the duplicate icon ( ) on any session to copy it, then just tweak what's changed.
Duplicating keeps the same date, track, and setup (pressures baseline, alignment, suspension, sway bars, ride height, corner weights). Hot pressure, tyre temperatures, and best time are cleared, since those come from the run you're about to do.
If you make a mistake when filling out a session, you can always edit it later. You can also use the track called 'Other' to store mistakes or sessions templates. There is no option to delete a session.
Editing a session
Hit the edit icon ( ) to change any details on an existing session.
Use the edit icon to add your best time and change any details like tire pressures and temperatures.
Session numbers
Sessions are numbered within each date + track combination, starting at 1. If you duplicate into the same day and track, the number goes up; a different track or date starts back at Session 1.
Collapsible sections
Session details and Tyre pressures & temperatures are open by default since they're what you'll fill in most often. The rest — wheel alignment, suspension, sway bars, ride height & corner weights — start collapsed. Tap a section's heading to open or close it.
Weight distribution
Enter your four corner weights and the Front/Rear/Left/Right totals, diagonals, and cross weight percentage calculate themselves as you type — nothing to work out by hand. To learn more about corner weights, see this article on Grassroots Motorsports.
Best times and PB
The session with the fastest time in a group is highlighted. Below the table you'll also see your all-time personal best for that track, with a link straight to that session.
Paging through history
The list shows one date + track group at a time, most recent first. Use « Older and Newer » to move through your history.
Search
Once you've logged a few sessions, use Search (top of the sessions list) to filter across all of them at once — by track, conditions, a date range, a best time ceiling, or text in your notes. Search only looks within the current mobile + rego, same as everywhere else in the app.
Phone App
From the 'My Sessions' page, save the RacerSetup web app to your phone's home screen, it will behave like a native app. You can add it to your home screen from your browser's menu. On iOS, use the Share button and select Add to Home Screen. On Android, use the Menu button and select Add to Home Screen.
Privacy
RacerSetup does not collect any personal information. Your mobile number and personal ID are only used to access your sessions. Sessions are not shared and no one else can see your sessions unless you give them your mobile number and personal ID. RacerSetup does not use cookies or track you in any way. Your sessions are stored securely on the server and are only accessible to you. If you lose your personal ID, you will not be able to access your sessions again.
RacerSetup is not affiliated with any track, club, or racing organisation. It is a personal project to help racers keep track of their sessions and setups.
